Just Stop Killing
DCI Terry Lomax has been policing Glasgow's motorways for thirty-two years. He's seen every kind of tragedy on the tarmac—but he's never seen a junior transport minister nailed to a gantry with the words "LANE CLOSED" tattooed across his chest.
The victim is Philip Braithwaite, champion of the controversial smart motorway programme. Around his neck: a USB stick containing a list of fifteen names. The first name is Braithwaite's. The fourteenth is redacted. And a video claims that the deaths on Britain's smart motorways were not accidents—they were preventable.
Lomax's investigation leads him to Elaine Hepworth, a former highway engineer whose husband and two children were killed on the M25 when the system she helped design failed her. Official channels refused to hold anyone accountable. So Elaine decided to make them pay—one cost-cutting executive at a time.
Now Lomax is racing to stop her before she completes a demonstration that will turn the M8 into a live disaster. But as the body count rises, he discovers that Elaine isn't just a killer. She's an engineer who built the very doors she's now using. And in the eyes of the public, she might be the only one who ever told the truth.
Just Stop Killing is a razor-sharp, darkly comic thriller about justice, accountability, and the cost of looking away.

Just Stop Killing by Robert A. Clark is a highly entertaining crime thriller that successfully combines suspense, mystery, and a sharp sense of dark humor. Set in Glasgow, the novel offers an engaging detective story while also giving readers plenty of witty moments that help set it apart from more traditional crime fiction. Instead of relying only on violence or shocking twists, the story keeps readers invested through well-developed characters, clever dialogue, and a mystery that unfolds at a satisfying pace.
Ronnie LeeI always enjoy a good crime thriller, and Just Stop Killing definitely kept me hooked. Right from the first chapter, I wanted to know who the killer was, why they were doing it, and how DCI Terry Lomax was ever going to stop them. The mystery pulled me in quickly, and it only got more intense as the story went on.
